What do I need to do to become a Christian?

If you would like to be serving for Christ, you can become his hands and his feet in his body–the church! Anyone can become a member of Jesus’ body–the church–just as people did when the church began nearly 2000 years ago!

1. Hear the gospel of Christ (Romans 10:15-17; Acts 18:8).
2. Believe the gospel (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 4:4).
3. Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3-5; Acts 2:38).
4. Confess your faith in Jesus as the Christ (Matthew 10:32-33; Acts 8:36-38).
5. Be baptized, a burial (Romans 6:4) in water (Acts 8:36-38), in order to be saved (Mark 16:16, 1 Peter 3:20-21) and thus added by the Lord himself to his saved body, the church (Acts 2:41,47; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 5:23).
6. Be an active hand or foot (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)! After becoming a Christian, a member of Christ’s body, the church, you will still make mistakes, even sin (1 John 1:7-10). So, just repent of the sin and pray (Acts 8:22), and move on (Philippians 3:12-14). You aren’t perfect, just faithful (Revelation 2:10).
