Welcome to the Family of God in Ogden!
We Are Christ’s Body

Though Jesus is no longer physically on this earth, His church is His body on earth today (Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 4:4; Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18). Therefore, those who make up the church are Jesus’ hands and feet of service today (1 Corinthians 12:13-27)!
Just like Jesus, we are trying to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10) and to serve (John 13:12-17).
Here are some other ways in which we try to serve others:
Singings
On the First Sunday of every month, we enjoy a service of congregational singing during our evening service at 6 P.M. Every other month, we take our singing to Hearthstone (an Alzheimer’s care facility in Boone, IA).
Kids For Christ (‘KFC’)
This event is held on the third Sunday evening of each month. We have puppets, singing, and classes for all ages. It is a wonderful way to instill God’s heavenly truths in young hearts (Ecclesiastes 12:1; Proverbs 22:6; 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
Sunday Night Small Groups
On the second and fourth Sunday evenings of each month, four small groups meet in various homes with one always meeting at the church building. It’s a great way for everyone to grow closer to one another and form deeper and closer friendships! It also provides and excellent opportunity to invite friends! Our model for what we try to accomplish during this time comes from Acts 2:42.
Potluck Dinners
The entire congregation gathers for an afternoon of fellowship and good food after the morning services on the fifth Sundays of the month.
Fellowship and Youth Activities
We have activities ranging from cookouts to youth specific events. Each activity will always include Bible and prayer times. These activities are a great way for our young and old to introduce their friends to Christianity as a life to be lived, not merely a pew to occupy on Sunday!
Fellowship with Firearms
One of our most famous fellowship activities is Fellowship with Firearms. This is held annually on the third Saturday in March. Shooting enthusiasts from many congregations gather at the Butch and Linda Glawe farm to enjoy an afternoon of target shooting. We begin with a lesson from the Word, a safety meeting, and then have a great time! This event has provided a great opportunity for people to invite someone to a church activity and learn something from the Word that might not otherwise be willing to visit a worship service in the church building. It’s been a very fruitful event in that regard.
Ladies Day/Men’s Renewal
On the 4th Saturday in October, several Guest speakers are invited to share messages from God’s word. The ladies enjoy fellowship and learning and at the same time are drawn closer to each other. Many ladies from the area churches attend as well. The men meet at the same time for the same type of format.
